A desperate search is underway for a 15-year-old girl who vanished on the evening of Saturday, April 19, sparking a cross-county appeal from police.
Bethany, from Eastfield in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, has been reported missing after she was last seen leaving her local area at around 8pm on Saturday night. The teenager, described as vulnerable due to her age, is known to have connections to both Portsmouth in Hampshire and Sheffield in South Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire Police have launched what they are calling an urgent search to locate the missing girl and are appealing for the public’s help.
Police Appeal
In a statement also circulated by Portsmouth Police, a spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said:
“We are urgently searching for missing 15-year-old Bethany, from Eastfield, Scarborough.
“Bethany was last seen leaving the Eastfield area at about 8pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
“She has links to Sheffield, in South Yorkshire, and Portsmouth, in Hampshire.”
At the time of writing, there are no confirmed sightings of Bethany since she was last seen, and her current whereabouts remain unknown.
