A grave and mysterious turn has occurred in the investigation into the disappearance and subsequent murder of two-year-old Danka Ilic in Bor, Serbia, known affectionately as ‘the girl with the pacifier’. During police interrogation, a 40-year-old man, identified only as D.D., suspected of involvement in Danka’s death, died of a suspected heart attack.

Danka vanished on march/" title="march" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpil-monitor-id="4335">March 26 while at a playground with her mother in the eastern Serbian city. Authorities later revealed the heartbreaking news that she was struck by a vehicle, leading to her death, and that her body was disposed of by the individuals in the car, which has yet to be found.
