In a devastating incident on Horsforth Road near Rodley, Leeds, a four-month-old baby lost their life following a head-on collision between a van and a car.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed the heartbreaking news, revealing that the baby boy passed away in hospital on Wednesday, succumbing to injuries sustained in the crash which occurred at approximately 4:55 pm on Monday.
The collision involved a Vauxhall Vivaro van travelling northbound, which collided head-on with a Toyota Auris.
In addition to the tragic loss of the infant, two women from the Toyota and a man from the van were also hospitalized for treatment, further underlining the severity of the incident.
Authorities have taken swift action, arresting the 54-year-old male driver of the Vivaro on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. However, he has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
