Urgent Search Underway for Missing 11-Year-Old Girl from Barrow, Cumbria

Police and community members are urgently searching for Mary Grace Haines, an 11-year-old girl who has gone missing from Barrow, Cumbria. Mary was last seen around 11am on Sunday, April 20, 2025, and there is growing concern for her welfare.
Described as 5’4″ tall, of slim build, with dark hair, Mary Grace was last seen wearing clothing similar to that shown in a recent appeal image, believed to be a dark tracksuit.
The Missing Persons Team (MPT) and Cumbria Police are leading the appeal and have issued a plea to the public for any sightings or information that could assist in locating the missing child.
“If you have seen Mary Grace or know where she may be, please call 999 immediately,” said a spokesperson for Cumbria Police.
Authorities are treating the situation with urgency due to Mary’s age and the duration she has now been missing. She is considered vulnerable, and police are asking the public not to delay in reporting any possible sightings.
A poster widely circulated online by the Missing Adults & Children in the UK group urges anyone with any information, no matter how small, to come forward.
If Mary Grace sees this appeal, she is urged to call Cumbria Police on 999 and let them know she is safe.
