Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has revealed that Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner mercenary group, is currently in Russia. Prigozhin’s whereabouts had been unknown since he was last seen in southern Russia during a short-lived armed rebellion last month.

As part of a deal to resolve the mutiny, charges against Prigozhin were dropped, and he was expected to be permitted to relocate to Belarus. Lukashenko played a pivotal role in brokering this agreement, which led to the resolution of the rebellion.
