A self-employed taxi driver from Hastings has been found guilty of multiple sex offences following a trial at Lewes Crown Court.
Alammar—already on remand for the earlier April offences—was arrested for the November incident after the second victim came forward.
In October 2025, he was convicted of sexual assault for the April attack but acquitted of rape and sexual assault by penetration-related charges. He stayed in custody while awaiting trial for the November offences.
Justice Served, But Support Urged for Victims
On 6 March, Lewes Crown Court found Alammar guilty of the November assault charges. He remains in custody and will be sentenced for both convictions on a date yet to be announced.
Detective Constable Christina Bales of the Hastings Safeguarding Investigation Unit said: “These were serious and predatory offences committed against women who should have felt safe. I would like to commend the victims for their courage in coming forward and supporting the investigation.”
“We remain committed to ensuring victims of sexual offences receive support and that offenders are brought before the courts.”
Police are urging anyone affected by sexual offences to come forward. Reports can be made online or by calling 101. In emergencies, dial 999. Victims will be listened to, supported, and treated with dignity.
