A man suffered a serious head injury after a violent assault inside a Chichester pub in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Sussex Police Make Arrest at Scene
Officers rushed to The Foundry in Southgate, Chichester, at around 1:30am on 28 February following reports of a violent fight. Emergency services found the victim with significant head wounds and rushed him to the hospital, where he remains under treatment.
A 24-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has since been bailed pending further investigations.

Detectives are probing the incident’s full circumstances, including how the fight started and whether others were involved. They are reviewing evidence and speaking to witnesses.
