A man has been rushed to hospital following a stabbing on New Parade, Worthing, which triggered a major emergency response including armed officers.
Stabbing Sends Man to Hospital
The attack happened at around 3.20 pm on Thursday, March 5. The 30-year-old victim was taken to the hospital, where his injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening. He remains in a stable condition.
Two Men Arrested Over Incident
- A 25-year-old man with no fixed address has been arrested for assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
- A 31-year-old Worthing resident was also arrested, suspected of assisting an offender.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Chris May said: “Two men have been arrested in relation to this incident. This is an active investigation and we encourage anyone who witnessed the incident or who has relevant information, such as CCTV or mobile phone footage, to contact us.”
“There will be patrols in the area for reassurance, and people are encouraged to stop and talk to officers.”
