Leanne Melling, 34, of Ripon Close, Whitefield, appeared at Chester Crown Court on Monday 6 October where she pleaded guilty to a section 18 assault.

Violent Row Turns Deadly

The court heard that the couple had been arguing all day on Sunday 19 January. The victim tried to cool things down by sleeping in a separate room.
Fortunately, he managed to overpower Melling, threw the knife across the room, and locked her in. He then called 999 for help.
