A motorist in Whitechapel has had their vehicle seized and now faces court proceedings after being caught driving with only a provisional licence and no insurance.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Roads and Transport Policing Command (MPSRTP) stopped the driver and, after carrying out checks, discovered they were not fully licensed and had no valid insurance.

As a result, the vehicle was impounded, and the driver is now set to appear in court.
A spokesperson from MPSRTP said:
One rather expensive car off to the pound and the driver off to court.
Police continue to urge all drivers to ensure they are fully licensed and insured before getting behind the wheel, as enforcement teams remain active across London targeting uninsured and unqualified motorists.
