A teenage boy has been arrested following two serious assaults reported in Gillingham on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 3:14 pm in an alleyway between Sunnymead Avenue and Chicago Avenue, prompting an emergency response from Kent Police and the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
Two men were found at the scene with injuries consistent with stab wounds. Both were transported to a London hospital, where one victim remains in serious but stable condition, while the other has since been discharged.
Detective Inspector Martin Carter stated that authorities are still searching for additional individuals who may have been involved and left the scene before police arrived. “We are appealing to witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact our appeal line,” he said. He also urged motorists and residents in the area to review any private CCTV footage that might aid the investigation.
