Tragic News: Woman Dies After Being Hit by Car in Oldswinford
A woman in her 70s has tragically died after being struck by a car in Oldswinford, West Midlands Police have confirmed.
The collision occurred just before 4pm on Thursday, 17 April, on Hagley Road. The woman sustained serious injuries after being hit by a red Vauxhall Corsa and was rushed to hospital for treatment. Despite the best efforts of medical staff, she has sadly passed away.
In a statement, West Midlands Police said:
“Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this terrible time.”
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the incident and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward as part of their ongoing investigation.
“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have information to assist our investigation,” a spokesperson added.
