Sussex Roads Police are urging the community to come forward with any information following a tragic accident that claimed the life of a resident. The collision, which occurred on Priory Road near The Bridge Community Centre around 1pm on Sunday, involved a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
The victim, a 65-year-old man from the area, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have notified his family of the heartbreaking incident.
In a subsequent development, a 25-year-old Hastings man was arrested in Wellington Place under suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail as investigations continue.
Police are actively seeking witnesses or anyone who might have CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident.
