A state of heightened tension has gripped the suburbs of Philadelphia as the manhunt for escaped Brazilian murderer Danelo Cavalcante continues. On Tuesday, schools in the Oakland J. Robert school district near Philadelphia were closed, and residents were advised to lock their doors after Cavalcante, who is considered “extremely dangerous,” managed to evade capture.
