A Flat Fire On Lichfield Grove In Finchley Was Tackled By Six Fire Engines And Approximately 40 Firefighters

A flat on the building’s lower ground floor was damaged by fire. Before the Brigade arrived, one person left the property. There were no reported injuries.

The fire was producing heavy, black smoke, and it was challenging for crews moving around the property,” said Station Commander Mick Palmer, who was on the scene.

“Crews worked quickly to locate the fire and bring it under control.”

The Fire Department was called at 4.47pm, and the fire was out by 5.50pm. Firefighters from Finchley, Hendon, Hornsey, and Kentish Town were dispatched to the scene.

The fire is thought to have been started accidentally by an electrical light switch.
