A21 Closed for Three Hours Due to Welfare Incident Near Tonbridge

The A21 between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks Weald was closed for about three hours this morning following concerns for a person’s welfare. Emergency services, including police and medical teams, were dispatched to the scene near the Quarry Hill Road overbridge above the A21 after authorities received a call at approximately 6:23 am.

Police secured the area, halting traffic in both directions to ensure the safety of responders and those involved. The closure caused significant delays for commuters, who were advised to seek alternate routes.

The A21 was reopened at around 10:30 am once the incident was resolved. Authorities have not disclosed further details, but they confirmed that support services attended the scene to provide assistance.
