Attempted robbery of school boy in Whitstable

Police have released the following E fit following an attempted robbery in Whitstable Just before 8am on Wednesday 6 November 2019 a teenage boy was walking along an alleyway in Sand End when he was approached by a man who tried to snatch his mobile phone. The boy refused to let go and was pushed into a bush before the suspect ran away empty-handed in the direction of basketball courts. The victim was not injured and the man who tried to take his phone is described as white, aged between 20 and 30 years old, of medium build and has a short brown beard. He was wearing a light grey hooded top and tracksuit bottoms along with black gloves and trainers. Anyone who recognises the description, the man in the image or has any other information is urged to call 01843 222289 quoting reference 46/213209/19.
