British Transport Police Seeks Public Assistance In Canterbury Railway Station Assault Investigation

British Transport Police officers investigating an assault on a railway staff member at Canterbury East Railway Station are reaching out to the public for assistance. The incident occurred on Monday, September 18, around 08:15, when a member of staff checking passenger tickets at the barrier was subjected to a violent attack.

According to reports, the assailant, when asked to show his ticket, responded aggressively, issuing verbal threats and physically assaulting the staff member. The victim fell to the ground, sustaining injuries to his face. The attacker swiftly fled the station after the assault.

In an effort to progress their investigation, British Transport Police has released an image captured on a body-worn camera during the incident. Authorities are keen to speak to the individual in the image, believing he may possess crucial information that could aid their inquiry.

Individuals who recognise the person in the image are urged to come forward and assist in the investigation.
