Emergency services rushed to the scene on Uxbridge Road, Shepherd’s Bush, last night (October 13) after a car was filmed engulfed in flames near Shepherd’s Bush Underground Station. Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade were alerted at around 6:54 pm, following multiple reports of a car on fire.
In total, nine emergency calls were made to the brigade’s Control Office, all reporting the same incident. A single fire engine from Hammersmith Fire Station was dispatched, and it took over an hour for emergency responders to fully extinguish the flames.

Footage shared on social media platforms showed crowds gathered near the Holland Park roundabout, watching as the fire blazed near the underground station. Smoke could be seen rising from the car, as well as flames at the top of the stairs adjacent to the station.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and it remains unclear if anyone was injured. The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
The fire caused significant disruption in the area, with emergency services working to contain the situation. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire.
This incident follows another fire-related disruption in London, with a major train station temporarily closed earlier today due to a fire alert.
