Emergency services rushed to the scene of a serious road traffic collision in Catford last night after two vehicles collided at the junction of Brownhill Road and Torridon Road, leaving six people injured, including five taken to hospital.
The incident occurred around 5.30pm on Monday evening (June 9), prompting a swift response from the Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service. Photos from the scene show two heavily damaged vehicles behind an emergency cordon, with traffic blocked in both directions.
A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said:
“We were called at 5.31pm yesterday (9 June) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Brownhill Road and Torridon Road, SE6.
We sent resources including two ambulance crews and an incident response officer.
We treated six patients at the scene and took three of them to hospital.”
In addition to the three taken by ambulance, two other people were conveyed to hospital by police units, while one individual was assessed and discharged at the scene.
