Emergency services responded to a cell fire at HMP Pentonville early this morning. The incident occurred on the E1 Landing of the prison in  a cell  at approximately 12:30am on Tuesday 31st December 2024

London Fire Brigade crews arrived on the scene and quickly brought the fire under control. Initial reports indicate no injuries among staff or inmates. Emergency responders and prison staff worked swiftly to evacuate the affected area and ensure the safety of all individuals inside the facility.

The fire was reported at one of the cells on E1 Landing. Firefighters and prison staff collaborated to extinguish the blaze and conduct safety checks in surrounding cells.
