Cyclist Found Unconcious with Arm and Leg injuries in Fareham

Police are appealing for information after a man came off his bike in Fareham. At around 7.50pm on Friday, June 10 a 22-year-old man was cycling along Highlands Road towards the A27. The cyclist was seen to fall from his bike. At the same time, a small black vehicle, travelling in the same direction, swerved and went past. The car and the cyclist are not believed to have come into contact with each other but the driver of the vehicle may have witnessed what happened to the cyclist. The cyclist was knocked unconcious for a few minutes and sustained arm and leg injuries. He was was taken by ambulance to the Queen Alexandra Hospital. PC Jim Chapman, said: “We do not believe the vehicle and the cyclist came into contact with one another. However, the car was being driven by at the time the cyclist came off his bike, so we think anyone in that car would have witnessed what happened and why the cyclist came off his bike. “If you saw what happened or if you are the driver of this vehicle, please get in touch with us and tell us what you saw.”
