Detectives have named the victim of a fatal shooting in Westminster as Tikquaan Stephenson-Walters, 28, and are appealing for information one week on from his murder.

In a heartfelt statement, Tikquaan’s family said: “Tikquaan was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and grandson, not only to his family but to the entire community. His smile brightened every room. He mentored young people and had so much to offer. This senseless act of violence has devastated us and the entire community.”
A post-mortem examination is expected to take place on Thursday, 12 September, and no arrests have been made so far.

The investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley from Specialist Crime (Homicide), who reassured Tikquaan’s family that his team will work tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.
DCI Jolley said: “Tikquaan was approached by a lone suspect on a white moped on Bravington Road, and after exchanging words, he was shot at close range. The suspect fled the scene on the moped, turning right onto Marban Road. We are releasing images of the suspect today and urgently need anyone with doorbell or dashcam footage or any other information to come forward.”
Tikquaan had no gang affiliations, and the motive behind the attack remains unclear.
