A Ford Fiesta was engulfed in flames in the Dartford Tunnel on Sunday afternoon, causing significant traffic disruption as emergency services rushed to the scene.
The incident occurred shortly after 4 p.m., when the vehicle caught fire, forcing the closure of two lanes at the busy crossing. Large plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the tunnel as drivers were redirected, resulting in long delays and tailbacks.
