A Loganair flight has been forced to divert its journey to Edinburgh Airport, due to the pilot declaring an emergency on board. The passenger jet, which was en route from  Southampton to Edinburgh transmitted the emergency 7700 code after it is understood that an incident broke during the flight. The plane circled around the Isle of Wight to dump fuel before carrying out an emergency landing at Bournemouth airport.
