Emergency services called to suspicious object on Hampshire river
The Southampton coastguard search and rescue team and Police were called upon attended a suspected ordnance find in the New Forest on Friday evening. The emergency crews attended the Southampton Yacht club after a member of the public contacted police after making the find. Southampton coastguard rescue team and Hampshire Police attended the scene at ted Beaulieu river just after 7.30pm The find was ten inches in diameter and was a cylinder shape. On further inspection the tube the find was demand to a false alarm.
