Three people were left trapped in one vehicle. One person was removed from the vehicle by paramedics and air ambulance doctors before being transported to a London hospital for further treatment. A second person was released by firefighters using hydraulic rescue equipment and passed to the care of paramedics. A third person was walked free under supervision of paramedics.
The cause of the crash will be investigated by Kent Police and the road is likely to be closed for some time.
