Firefighters Battle Large Blaze at SITA Waste and Recycling Plant in Ash Vale – UKNIP

In the early hours of Saturday morning, eight fire engines from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue, along with Surrey Fire Service, rushed to the scene of a significant fire at the SITA Waste and Recycling Plant on Station Road West in Ash Vale.

Emergency crews were scrambled to the site shortly after 1 a.m. on the 8th July 2023 following reports of a blaze engulfing the facility. The intensity of the fire prompted a large plume of black acrid smoke, prompting authorities to advise residents in the vicinity to close their windows and doors as a precautionary measure.
