Four men have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm after a stabbing in Tower Hamlets this afternoon left a man hospitalised.
Emergency Response
The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were called shortly after 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, to reports of a stabbing on Clare Street, E2.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 34-year-old man with stab wounds. Emergency responders provided treatment at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital. His injuries have been assessed as non-life-threatening.
Arrests and Investigation
A short time later, four men were taken into custody on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They are currently being held at an east London police station as investigations continue.
Crime Scene in Place
A police cordon remains in effect on Clare Street as forensic teams conduct their investigation. Authorities are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated:
“Police were called shortly after 16:00hrs on Monday, 25 November to reports of a man found stabbed on Clare Street, E2. The 34-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment, and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Four men were arrested a short time later on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. They remain in custody.”
