Homes in Gosport Hit by Power Cut
Forty Homes this evening have been left without power following a power cut. A cable fault at the “Downside” Sub station in the Bridgemary District of Gosport has cut power to many homes Residents lost power just after 10pm this evening. The loss of power has left many without light or heat whilst strong winds continue to batter the area. A Spokesman for Scottish and Southern Electric said” We are aware of the faulty and have dispatched an engineer to fix the fault and restore power at the local substation. We are expecting this to be completed by 1am on Wednesday morning. We normally offer a call back service to the effected customer but this stops after 10pm.
