Drivers on the M20 in Kent are facing major disruption this morning after a crash forced a full closure of the westbound carriageway.
National Highways confirmed that all traffic is currently being held on the M20 westbound between Junction 3 (M26 interchange) and Junction 2 (A20 London Road / Wrotham, Brands Hatch Circuit).
The incident has also led to one lane being closed eastbound to allow emergency services to assist.
Traffic delays
Long delays are already being reported in the area, with congestion building quickly on approach.
Motorists are being advised to allow extra travel time, avoid the stretch where possible and seek alternative routes.
Emergency services remain on scene.
