M25 Southbound Closed Between Junction 30 and Junction 2 Due to Police-Led Incident

Kent Police are currently leading the response to a police-led incident that has resulted in the closure of the southbound carriageway of the M25 between Junction 30 and Junction 2. The incident was first reported to National Highways at 13:45, and due to its nature, the road remains closed with no estimated time for reopening.

While earlier delays have now cleared, National Highways is working closely with Kent Police to prioritize releasing any traffic that may have been caught within the closure.

Diversion Route: Road users travelling southbound are advised to follow the hollow triangle diversion symbol indicated on local road signs:

  1. From M25 Junction 30 exit slip to the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A13 towards Dagenham and Central London.
  2. At the A12 / A102 Interchange, take the exit onto A102 Southbound towards M25 and Dover through the Blackwall Tunnel.
  3. Follow A102 and A2 through “Kidbrooke” and “Danson” Interchanges towards M25 and Dover.
  4. Take the exit at M25 Junction 2 interchange, and at the roundabout, rejoin M25 towards Gatwick.

Please be aware of a 4.7-meter height restriction at Blackwall Tunnel southbound.

If this road closure affects your planned route, it is advisable to allow for extra journey time. Consider planning, and you may need to re-route or adjust your travel plans accordingly.
