A man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident that occurred outside a pub in Kirkby in Ashfield. Tyrone James, aged 40 and a resident of Skegby Road in Kirkby in Ashfield, faces multiple charges including attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and assault by beating.
James appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 24, and has been remanded into custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for November 21.
The incident in question was reported to the police shortly before 1 am on Sunday, October 22. A 27-year-old man was left in critical condition following the stabbing, which took place outside The Nags Head pub on Station Street. The victim was promptly transported to the Queen’s Medical Centre for medical attention.
