Bexleyheath, London – A man in his 30s remains in critical condition following a suspected road rage incident in Bexleyheath. The altercation occurred on Erith Road, near Mayplace Road, at around 5:25 a.m. on August 20.
Police and London Ambulance Service crews were dispatched to the scene, where they found the injured man. He was quickly transported to a hospital, where his condition was assessed as critical. Authorities believe the man sustained his injuries following a violent confrontation with the occupant of another vehicle.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident. He was taken to a south London police station and has since been released on bail, pending further inquiries.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed today (August 27) that the victim remains in critical condition. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“Officers investigating a possible road rage incident in Bexley have made an arrest,” said a police spokesperson. “At this early stage, it is believed the man sustained his injuries following an altercation with the occupant of another vehicle at the scene.”
