Man suffers stab wounds in Margate robbery

Kent Police is appealing for information after a man was injured during a reported robbery in Margate. The incident happened in an alleyway that runs parallel to the railway line and connects Crescent Road with Garfield Road, at about 7.15am on Sunday 30 June 2019. A 32-year-old man suffered injuries consistent with being stabbed after he was reportedly assaulted by a man. The suspect is described as being white, slim and about 5ft 7in, wearing a black hooded top, tracksuit bottoms and a scarf around his face. He is alleged to have stolen a number of items from the victim including a smartphone before running away in the direction of Garfield Road. Officers attended and are continuing to carry out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to call the appeal line on 01843 222289.
