A serious road crash involving five vehicles occurred on the coastbound carriageway of the A21 near Lamberhurst on Tuesday, July 11. Emergency services, including fire engines, HEMS (Doctors/paramedics), Kent Police, National Highways traffic officers, and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), swiftly responded to the scene.
Firefighters worked diligently to free one person who was trapped in the wreckage of a vehicle. Utilizing hydraulic rescue equipment, such as the Jaws of Life, hydraulic spreaders, rams, cutting tools, and vehicle stabilisation blocks, they created space to allow paramedics to access the trapped individual and provide necessary medical treatment. Once the person was stabilized, they were carefully removed from the scene and transferred to a waiting ambulance.
