Investigators are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the M20 coastbound on Friday night (14 February 2025).

At approximately 10:19pm, a blue Kia Carens had stopped on the hard shoulder between junctions eight and nine when the driver exited the vehicle and was struck by an Iveco box van.

Tragic Loss

  • The 71-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • His next of kin have been informed.
  • A female passenger in the Kia sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the Iveco box van is assisting police with their inquiries, and an investigation has been launched by Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU).
