Police Are Appealing For Anyone With Information After A Knife-point Robbery Where A Rolex Watch Was Stolen

The incident happened on Tuesday 20 December just before 6pm at a premise in Hucknall Road near Gala Way.

Two masked men entered the premise with one of the suspects holding a knife. A third man is believed to have remained outside.

They threatened two members of staff and demanded that they remove their watches. The Rolex has a black dial and is silver in colour, purchased in 2017 for around £10,000.

The second watch is a RADO which was gold and black and valued at around £2,000. The victims were also asked to hand over their wallets and phones.

They stole an iPhone 13 Max in space grey and a white iPhone 10. The suspects then fled the scene.

One of the suspects is described as a black male, 5ft 8ins tall, stock build and in his 20s. He was wearing a black jacket which had the white Nike logo located on the left side of his jacket.

He also had a black baseball cap underneath his hoody, black gloves, black joggers and trainers which were Nike Air Force.

The second suspect is 5ft 8ins, of a slim build, wearing a face mask, grey puffer jacket, black joggers and black gloves and trainers. Due to the mask he was wearing, skin colour and age could not be obtained.

The third man waiting outside is wearing a navy jacket, black cap and a green or khaki coloured face mask and gloves. Police have carried out an extensive investigation to find the people involved, which includes forensics and CCTV inquiries.

Detective Constable Mitchell Thomas, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was an horrific and appalling incident where two men were intimidated and robbed in their place of work.

“Since this incident occurred in December, we have worked extremely hard to locate the suspects and we will continue to do so until all three are brought to justice. We have carried out numerous lines of inquiry including a CCTV trawl, forensics, financial checks, and investigations around tracing the two stolen watches.

“We are now appealing for anyone with information to help us with our inquiry or can identify the people on the CCTV images released. This includes anyone who has any information about what happened that day or anyone who has been sold these two watches.

“The first watch is a Rolex Datejust 2017, serial number 126334, 41mm Black Face with Steel Bracelet and a black Rudo watch. It is imperative we catch those responsible and ensure these offenders are taken off our streets.”

Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident number 0578 of 20 of January 2022 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
