A community warning has gone viral after a man was reportedly spotted carrying a large knife in the Hanwell area of West London, prompting a police search and widespread public concern.

“Long story short, he has now hidden [the] knife. Police [are] looking for it,” the post reads.
“Beware. If he finds it, he may accomplish what he set out to do.”

The Facebook post has garnered significant attention, with over 100 comments and multiple shares, as locals express their concern and commend the swift actions of the woman and her husband.

Photos included in the post show a man, believed to be the suspect, standing at the entrance of the Londis store on Greenford Avenue. The images have since been circulated on social media as the community urges vigilance and cooperation with authorities.

Police Response

The Metropolitan Police has not yet issued an official statement but are believed to be aware of the situation. Local residents report a visible police presence in the area since the incident, with officers canvassing for CCTV footage and eyewitnesses.
