Police Release CCTV Image After Bus Driver Assaulted in Maidstone

Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an assault on a bus driver in Maidstone. The incident occurred on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at a bus station near The Mall.

The assault reportedly took place at around 11:30 AM following a verbal altercation between the driver and a passenger. During the incident, the suspect allegedly pushed the bus driver to the ground and punched him in the face before fleeing the scene on foot.

Patrol officers attended the scene, and the victim was taken to the hospital, where he received treatment for facial injuries.

Appeal for Information

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s with black hair and a moustache. Officers have released a CCTV image in the hope that someone may recognize him or provide information about his identity or whereabouts.
