A harrowing case has emerged from Cardiff as Liam Stimpson, aged 24, was sentenced to 15 years in prison following a ‘sadistic’ attack on a vulnerable homeless woman. The distressing incident unfolded in Cardiff town centre on December 27 last year, casting a shadow of fear over the community.

Stimpson, who had been celebrating his birthday, encountered the victim while she was sleeping rough. The court heard that Stimpson, under the influence of alcohol, subjected the woman to a horrific ordeal, stripping her naked, filming the attack, and inflicting severe physical and emotional trauma.
