Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union working at Heathrow Express have commenced a 48-hour strike today, following a strong mandate for action. The strike is expected to cause significant disruption to the high-speed rail service that connects Heathrow Airport with central London.

RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch commented on the action: “Our members at Heathrow Express have made their position clear with a strong mandate for action. They are determined to secure fair pay and better working conditions.”
Negotiations between RMT and Heathrow Express management are expected to continue as both sides work toward a resolution. The union has emphasized that they are open to further talks but remains firm in their stance for fair pay and conditions.

Travellers are encouraged to stay updated on the situation and check for real-time service updates before planning their trips.
