A road traffic collision caused significant disruption in Biggin Hill on Sunday night (April 27), with Saltbox Hill blocked in both directions at the junction with Oaklands Lane.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9.36pm following reports of a collision. The incident led to the closure of the road, affecting traffic in the area and prompting a diversion for motorists.
Bus route 464 was impacted, with services being diverted via Saltbox Hill at Oaklands Lane, right onto Oaklands Lane, left onto Norheads Lane, right onto Sunningvale Avenue, and then back onto the original route — with the same diversion applying in reverse for affected journeys.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area while emergency crews dealt with the aftermath of the crash. It is not yet confirmed if there were any injuries, and an update from authorities is awaited.
Drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journeys and to follow local diversion signs.
