Road Closures Were Put In Place Whilst Emergency Services Attended The Scene.
Police were called just before 12.20pm on Wednesday 26 October following
reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A30.
The incident involved a red Vauxhall Agila and a Renault recovery vehicle
which happened on the Eastbound carriageway at Minzies near Bodmin.
The driver of the Agila, a man in his 90s, was airlifted to the hospital
with suspected life-threatening injuries.
Road closures were put in place whilst emergency services attended the
scene.
A 62-year-old man from Blackpool was arrested on suspicion of causing
serious injury by dangerous driving and has since been released under
investigation pending further enquiries.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team and Serious investigation units
attended the scene and carried out a detailed investigation.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision
or have any information which would assist the investigation. Witnesses
should contact 101, quoting log number 305 of 26th October 2022.
