Metropolitan Police are investigating after three men were injured in two separate but potentially linked violent incidents in Homerton, Hackney, on Saturday night.

Incident Details

  • Police were called at 22:35hrs on 11 January to reports of gunshots in Homerton.
  • Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service, attended the scene.
  • Medics treated a 27-year-old man with gunshot wounds outside Homerton Station.
  • Two other men, aged 28 and 29, were injured in a separate incident on Gascoyne Road – one suffering a gunshot wound and the other stabbed.
  • Their injuries are not life-threatening.

Police Investigation

  • Detectives are working at pace to determine if the incidents are linked and to identify potential suspects.
  • So far, no arrests have been made.
  • There will be an increased police presence in the area in the coming days.

Superintendent Brigid Beehag-Fisher, of Hackney and Tower Hamlets Police, stated:
