Traffic Chaos as Police Close A27 Following Serious Crash
Police are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the A27 at the junction with the A3M. As a result the westbound carriageway is currently closed. Motorists are able to exit the A27 at the Broadmarsh exit.
Driver are being urged to avoid the area if at all possible whilst Police deal with the incident
All lanes are open but delays ofcan be expected on surrounding roads. Havant, Hayling Island and Portsmouth are all affected.
A spokesman for Hampshire Police said earlier: ‘We were called at 2.50pm this afternoon to reports of a collision involving a three vehicles, Vauxhall, an Audi and a Mercedes on the A27, at the interchange with the A3(M) near Havant. It was first thought that the injures to the drivers where serious. After assessment by Paramedics at the side of the road a female was taken to QA Hospital by land Ambulance
