Two men have been arrested following a high-speed car chase in Childwall, Liverpool yesterday evening. The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 15, when officers on patrol spotted a silver BMW driving at high speed on Childwall Valley Road, heading towards Roby Road.

After a pursuit by the police, the silver BMW collided with a barrier on Bowring Park Road, near the M62 and The Rocket pub. The two suspects, aged 44 and 36, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

Both men were taken to the hospital for medical attention. One of the suspects sustained a serious injury, which is not life-threatening, and is currently receiving treatment. The other suspect suffered a slight injury and is now in police custody for further questioning.

During the incident, road closures were in effect at junctions 4 and 5 of the M62. However, these closures have since been lifted, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
