Three people, including two teenagers, have died following a tragic collision between a car and a bus near Feltham Young Offenders Institution in west London. The incident occurred just before midnight on Bedfont Road, a narrow railway bridge close to the institution.
The car reportedly collided with an H26 bus bound for Hatton Cross, causing both vehicles to burst into flames. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but two teenagers, a male and a female, lost their lives in the crash. A third passenger in the car also died, while a fourth was transported to the hospital with injuries.
Both the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service attended the crash, with firefighters from Feltham and Heston stations managing to extinguish the blaze by 1:41 am on Tuesday.
Claire Mann, Chief Operating Officer for Transport for London (TfL), expressed her condolences, saying:
“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the people who were tragically killed yesterday in a collision involving a bus and a car. This is a devastating incident, and we have support available for those affected. Safety is our top priority, and we are working urgently with the police on their investigation.”
The area remained cordoned off whilst police continue their investigations. But has since reopened.
Authorities are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
