Kent Police are seeking witnesses to an early morning incident near Ashford town centre where a man was assaulted and a woman was threatened. The altercation took place near a petrol station on Beaver Road around 4:30 am on Thursday, 11th July 2024.
Responding to reports of a disturbance involving three men and a woman, officers arrived at the scene to investigate. According to the police, a man known to the parties involved had allegedly made threats towards a woman and assaulted another man before fleeing the scene. The assaulted man reported sustaining bruises, though no injuries were reported for the woman involved.
A 40-year-old man was arrested the following day in connection with the incident and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The Kent Police are actively continuing their investigation and have called on the public to assist by providing any relevant information or dashcam footage that could help clarify the circumstances around the incident.
