Police have sadly confirmed that a woman and an 11-month-old baby have died, after an incident on the A41 in Shropshire this morning.

Police, Fire, and ambulance crews were called to the A41 – between Tern Hill and Newport. A grey coloured Ford Focus travelling had been travelling towards Tern hill, when it was in collision with a Lorry.

Sadly, the 35-year-old woman and 11-month-old baby in the Ford died at the scene.

The road remains closed for accident investigation work, and is likely to be closed for some time.
